Future strategy for paediatric oncology
This work considered the best means of developing paediatric oncology services in the light of Improving Outcomes Guidance published by the National Institute for Clinical and Health Excellence (NICE). We worked with clinicians to develop clear pathways for different types of paediatric cancer, developing criteria against which shared care units could be evaluated, and investigating the financial sustainability of these services under Payment by Results.
