Cassandra Powers

Cassandra joined the SPH team after completing her Speciality Registrar in Public Health training in Wessex. She is an experienced public health professional, having worked across the public sector including in local authority, regional and national Public Health England (now UK Health Security Agency), and community and acute NHS Trusts.

Cassandra has particular expertise in clinical research, epidemiology, programme evaluation, and infectious diseases.​  Key projects that she has worked on have covered long-acting reversible contraception, Covid-19 and ethnic minorities, an immunisation toolkit for GPs, teaching F2 doctors about public health, pre-exposure prophylaxis, the health of looked-after children and mass media interventions for minority ethnic communities.
